2010 IHSTeCA ALL-DISTRICT/ALL STATE NOMINATION FORM
Carefully read the instructions before filling out this nomination form.
1. All information MUST BE TYPED OR PRINTED NEATLY.
2. Only designated VARSITY tennis coaches may nominate.
3. Only high school results/information will be considered.
(NO MIDWEST, CITA or NITA RANKING information considered)
4. Coaches MUST provide a complete listing of the nominee’s 2010 record
on the PLAYER RECORD FORM. Due May 28, 2010
5. Forms must be sent to your District Meeting Chairmen.
6. You may bring your forms to the District Meeting on June 2, 2010.
7. If you nominate more than one player, please duplicate the form.
8. Forms must be completely filled out and turned in before the meeting begins.
9. A player may be nominated for either singles or doubles, not both.
10. Read the nominating criteria before filling out the form.

Criteria for Postseason Awards
All-District Criteria
1. Coach nominating must be a member of the IHSTeCA.
(Can join at meeting by bringing dues)
2. Season record
3. Position played
4. Sportsmanship
5. Difficulty of team schedule and individual opponents
6. Quality wins and good losses
7. IHSAA tournament play
8. Voting is done by coaches in attendance at the District Meeting.
Players should be arranged in order by consensus of coaches.
9. Coach may send a representative to the meeting if he/she is unable to attend.
10. Players can be nominated for singles or doubles, but not both.
11. No consideration given to district, sectional or national USTA rankings.
12. Coach can nominate up to three singles players and up to two doubles teams.
13. Complete player record form must be filled out in advance of the District
Meeting.
14. Districts will select 16 singles players and 8 doubles team.
(* Exception: District III
will select 20 singles players and 10 doubles teams due to the traditional depth
of the talent pool in the Indianapolis area.)
15. Foreign exchange students can be
included on All-District teams. However, an additional spot will be added
on the teams for each foreign exchange student selected.
16. A lower lineup player cannot be selected over a higher lineup player from
the same team (unless higher lineup player is omitted for disciplinary reasons).
Example: a No. 2 singles player cannot be rated higher than the team's No. 1
singles player on the list
All-State Criteria
1. Players must first be voted onto their All-District Team to be eligible for
All-State consideration.
2. Season record

5. Difficulty of team schedule and individual opponents
6. Quality wins and good losses
7. IHSAA tournament play
8. No consideration given to district, sectional or national USTA rankings
9. Doubles teams must meet the 50% rule (both members must play 50% of the
season at either No. 1 doubles or No. 2 doubles)
10. Voting is done by the IHSTeCA officers and the Top 20 raters from throughout
the state.
11. First Team Singles (15 players -- no ties)
12. Second Team Singles (15 players -- no ties)
13. First Team Doubles (10 teams -- no ties)
14. Second Team Doubles (10 teams -- no ties)
15. Honorable Mention (based on merit)
16. Foreign exchange students can be included on All-State teams. However,
an additional spot will be added on the teams for each foreign exchange student
selected.
District
Coach of the Year Criteria
1. Must be a member of the IHSTeCA
2. Nominated in advance of the District Meeting.
Please send in nomination to District chairman!
3. Voted on by the coaches and school reps in attendance at the District Meeting
(one vote per school)

State Coach of the Year

1. Must receive District Coach of the Year honors to be a candidate for State
Coach of the Year
